How to do it right the first time

There are so many variables involved with a kitchen remodeling project.  If you are a weekend warrior, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure it all goes as planned.  To Start, you will want a durable finish for your kitchen cabinets and drawers.  However, before you go any further, you need to plan!

Do you have a budget ?

You would be surprised how many people I meet and their budget is not realistic with the expectation.  This is not meant to offend anyone.  There is a budget for ever type of project.  You as the homeowner need to decide how much or how little you want to spend.

Full remodel or partial ?

Kitchen Island - Full Remodel Project
A full remodel includes a demolition of an existing kitchen.  You may decide to rearrange the existing floorplan of your kitchen.  You might decide to add an island or more cabinets.  An average kitchen remodeling can start from $3000 - $60,000 + .  This is why planning is crucial.

With a partial kitchen remodeling project, you can do as little as replacing hardware and cabinet refinishing.  You also have the option to replace old kitchen cabinet doors.

Exterior colors fade

Do some exterior colors fade more quickly? The short answer is, yes.  Some exterior colors tend to fade more quickly.  Some of these colors are yellows, blues, greens, and reds.  There are several variables that aid exterior paint fade to occur.  Some of the variables may include damage by direct sunlight (UV), inferior quality paint and location of property. Overtime, direct sunlight, or ultraviolet rays (UV), will destroy the color pigment in paint.  As a result, you may notice a huge change between the shaded parts of your home exterior compared to a fully exposed side.  The same is true for artificial light and its effect on works of art.  If allowed to persist long enough with paint, the damage will begin to show a bleached look.  If left unprotected even longer, eventually cracks will begin forming allowing for water to penetrate causing further damage.  There are many qualities of paint available to consumers on the market. ...
